LG W2600H 26-Inch Full HD 1080P Widescreen LCD Monitor Review

I purchased my LG W2600H from Best Buy, using a 10% off coupon downloaded off the web, after researching large monitors long and hard. The first monitor I recieved had a manufacturing defect along the edge of the screen, about a 1/4 in high and a 1/2 in wide in the shape of a half moon, I bought it online but exchanged it at the store, she did but not without looking at me with the, I doubt it was a manufacturing defect look. The second one has worked flawlessly for almost 2 years. My monitor has NO DEAD PIXELS, and the contrast and uniformity are excellent, i’ve stared at it about 35 hours a week for almost 2 years and have an eye for detail, but am unable to discern any display flaws whatsoever. I did go from a 7600GS 256mb card to a 9500GS 1gig card, while owning this monitor, and saw an increase in clarity and vividness. So to take full advantage of the quality of this monitor I would suggest a good and powerful video card.
On paper this monitor gave me the best specs for the least amount of money, the most bang for the buck, and I haven’t been disappointed. Along with being functionally superior to the competition, it’s the best looking monitor, if not attractive.
As far as the touch sensitive display buttons go, I think LG deserves an A+. They are also, attractive and precise, and I’ve had no problem with them whatsoever. It took me a few brief minutes to master their function, and appreciate their beauty. For those of you that cannot read the fine print, I would suggest a MAGLIGHT PENLIGHT for your desk as an aid to all fine print. Display buttons are something that see very limited use, and should be designed to, Not Stick Out, like the Old Fashioned Mechanical Clunky Buttons. The On / Off button is very soft also, and is never a distraction.
As far as complaining, it doesn’t come with a DVI cable, LG got it right again. The 6ft cable, it would have came with, would have went straight to my pc collection. I purchased a 10ft high grade DVI cable off eBay for about .
All in all, I would say LG has made a superior product, but the price might have been a little high, due to buying one at its initial release. I have found absolutley nothing wrong with this product and will probably buy LG monitors for life.
For those of you that have complained about minor inconveniences, Talk About Lack of Technical Prowess, give me a break, nobody is that inept, but in this case i could be wrong. Anybody with any computer savvy looks at computers, and monitors, all the time, and I am totally satisfied, if not happy with my purchase and would highly recommend LG monitors, for the way they function and their appearance, as well as their price.

Great Monitor for the Price – Dale –
I was very impressed with the quality of the monitor considering the price. Yes as others have commented, the menu items on the front of the monitor cannnot be seen well and are difficult to use, but right out of the box the monitor worked perfectly. However, the CD that was included with the purchase did not work and I had to go online to LG to obtain the drivers for the monitor as well as the manual. I was happy with the purchase and the color and contrast were very good without any adjustments. I consider this a good buy for me.

LG w2600h is AWESOME! – Nick Velez – SLC, UT
Just received the monitor! It is the best monitor I have ever had. It is amazing! Well worth buying for 0.

Plug & Play (View) on a PowerMac G4 – R. A. Schultz – Honolulu HI
This monitor works flawlessly when fed from the DVI-D connection on the back of the monitor to a Macintosh Computer(PM G4 2×1.25Ghz Mirror Doors) through the Mac’s DVI-I port. Many lcd monitor specs show the Mac being connected via the VGA port, and I’m sure that would work, but the DVI connection works on this LG W2600H without any additional drivers or software downloads.

Pros:
Eye-popping contrast and color after calibration.
(Calibration is in the Systems Preference/Display area.)
Plug & View convenience.

Cons:
You will need a – cable to connect via DVI-D (Not Included)
The Mac CPU and Monitor will not work as one for power on/off like an Apple monitor (ADC) did.

Did I mention this monitor is huge, but the picture is great.

LG W2753V-PF 27-Inch Class Widescreen LCD Monitor (Gloss Black) Review

wow! This monitor is a shame all of my previous monitor, a 22 ", 24" I had Now my last monitor was my first monitor with an HDMI port for connecting a full 1080p monitor, but Jeez … bad color, bad angle so the screen looked bad when I sat in my chair, resting in bed when I'm not only watching, has been forgotten, it was dark! was my first monitor jus really bad quality compared to this LG. Now for the LG Well, here are my questions: 1) in extension of my laptop screen 2) My second displayfor my Playstation 3 Let me say, my laptop has a 17 inch screen, the LG 27 "jus dawfs it! I did not even open my laptop at home, remains connected to a LG. My PS3 WOW! My games looked great! LG 1080p ROCKS this up for PS3 games. (HDMI or nothing) good angles!. Well (considering this is not $ 1500 – $ 2200 + screen TX-IPS) I mean its hard for me at a point where the screen seems to dark, I say good job on that. Now LG excessive heat ok, I we all know, LCD screens hot / coldNow I think it will be warmer than usual …. uhmm I would say that, yes, you can heat output fell on a cold night, is what it is, as heat. It's hot. Bragg impossible here, jus monitor height adjustments taken any adjustment forward lean, but not so much, I would screw holes wall mountable, has VESA wall mount screw holes on the back, so that sucks, so that My last monitor was attached to the wall, raised sooo much space on your desk Sun Uh-mm asas movies, Blu-ray …… Color, and looked good, not as good dark colors do not meet best hi-def, but you get to do the job. Weight: 27 perfect "Wide Screen, height 19" Well, now is the depth, I'd have someone to talk WOW! can not say its light stand about 1 "-2.5" I would not say.If the search for the function of a style truly want something flat on the wall of desk space, this is not the monitor for you its beefy! But if you want a big screenGreat for PS3 or (XBOX360 HDMI) games on a laptop for an expansion or a desktop screen really nice is that! (Why use a PS3 as secondary SCREEN say? Can say well, not everyone wants to see me PLAY THE PS3 ON MY SAMSUNG50)

Excellent Monitor – Charles Sherwood – Las Vegas, NV United States
I had this monitor connected and running in less than 10 minutes. It is part of a two-monitor set to connect multiple computers in my home office and works great. The default setting works great and gave me a clear, sharp images. I'm at the point where I have problems is with my eyes really big and the big screen. I recommend this product. BTW, the other monitor is an LG set too, but only 22 inches.

LG W2753V – Holger Bruning – Florida Sring Hill
The best I've ever heard, the resolution is applied, such as contrast and brightness are almost too much for your eyes to absorb comfortably. Software that does not work with Windows 7 was not the updated version. But what is new! Mine shows all the instructions for adapting a language other than English. Unable to decipher. Got araund that with my graphics card for all your display settings. So I'm happy. Hope lasts Holger

Fantastic! – T. Frank – Las Vegas, NV, US
Monitor from Tiger Direct delivered. Slow-Express, but it was discussed in that order. This monitor is its large and bright. It 'great! LEDs run cool. The pictures are large and the pressure is well defined and clear. The main limitation is that only came with a VGA cable. But I had a DVI monitor is my last point, this question. Also, you can not see the identification buttonsor configuration, just wave your finger in front of them and they glow, which is nice. But of course, after yourThis monitor does not really need to fool with the buttons. My last monitor is a 24 "Acer, that worked great for about a year, then went on the side. I'll send back for repair. Maybe my Acer, LG, but this seems huge in comparison, although only 3 "greatest. I like the machine features bright, but sometimes a bit 'weak throughout the day. I recommend this monitor! Buy now!
